CykelRazzia is part-activism, part-data collection. It means "bike raid" in Danish and it's what Danes call the police on the streets stopping cyclists. The Danish police have to reach certain quotas throughout the year and cyclists are easier to pick off than motorists - even though only 1% of cyclists break serious traffic laws in Copenhagen.
We started a Twitter account and Facebook group where bicycle users can warn each other about car-centric police checkpoints. It's a bit of fun, but also a necessity and represents citizens reacting to 75 years of failed traffic engineering that continues to place the car on a pedestal. We also mine a load of data about frequency of checkpoints and man-hours used on bicycle user harrassment.
