Copenhagenize has been advising the City of Bruges on a strategy for ameliorating their bicycle network that encircles the Medieval city-centre. With the support of the European Handshake Project, the City of Bruges has the ambition to become a European Bicycle Capital. To help them develop their strategy, the Copenhagenize team organized both a European seminar and a complete day of discussions and workshops with nearly 100 residents to gather knowledge from both foreign experts as well as daily users. A summary of the ambitious cycling strategy can be found in a brochure, produced by the Copenhagenize team, together with partners West8 and Vectris, which is available upon request - in English and Dutch.
