In a city synonymous with both automobility and ambition, Dubai’s political leadership has turned their attention towards cycling as a mode of transportation. Building off the Copenhagenize Index methodology, our Copenhagen office worked with Dubai to evaluate their current performance, identifying both their strengths and opportunities for improvement. We were pleasantly surprised to learn of Dubai’s many recent achievements in recreational infrastructure and general traffic safety. We look forward to watching how the city’s ambition carries forward into the realm of utilitarian cycling.
