Research & Education
Taking you on an immersive knowledge-sharing experience through the most bicycle-friendly cities
Master Classes
For several years now, Copenhagenize has been organizing Master Classes bringing together participants from all backgrounds and nationalities to discover the best practices related to bicycle urbanism. Over several days, participants take part in a varied program, alternating between presentations, discovery of local cycling infrastructure, user behavior observation, workshops, and time for discussion with local stakeholders. These courses are held in Copenhagen, Paris or anywhere else at the request of public or private organizations.
Learning Expeditions
We organize learning expeditions in model cycling cities and regions. Over a 2 to 3-day stay, participants attend technical presentations, meet with local stakeholders, and explore the area by bicycle. Destinations include Copenhagen, a tried and tested model for cycling facilities; Paris, a city undergoing significant cycling developments; and Flanders, a region where policy decisions have profoundly influenced cycling growth. Full immersion enables participants to disconnect, open their mind, and experience the possibilities for their hometown. Thanks to our in-depth knowledge of these regions, we optimize the trip to ensure a stress-free experience with seamless logistics, allowing participants to focus fully on exploring and learning.
Conferences & Webinars
Promoting cycling as a mode of transport involves storytelling paired with the ability to synthesize technical reports, share key innovations, and transform scientific data into messages and lessons that resonate with the target audience. That's precisely what we specialize in, delivering a clear, professional, and accessible message at conferences and webinars. Copenhagenize always brings a refreshing and knowledge-based perspective, and we have a vast experience that ranges from general talks on bicycle urbanism and mobility, to conferences with specific focus: gender inclusion, territorial development, etc.
Research Projects
For years, Copenhagenize has actively been engaged in innovative projects funded by the European Union. These projects have been a powerful and enriching source of collaboration with consortia composed of private companies, local authorities, and universities. We offer communication expertise, aid in disseminating project outcomes, technical expertise, and support benchmarking efforts aimed at showcasing exemplary cycling policies capable of inspiring other cities. As new research projects continue to develop, we are ready to use our skill set and collaborative experience to partner with new institutions and organizations around the world.
