Cycling Strategy

Project Summary

Copenhagenize worked with the Tourisme Office to develop a study of the attractiveness of cycling tourism in the Orléans Métropole area. First, we conducted a diagnosis of the services offered to bicycle users. This analysis was complemented by interviews with local actors, both private (accommodation providers, bicycle rental companies) and public (regional and departmental authorities), who provided their insights on the current context.

In an effort to understand the real needs of users and their expectations, focus groups were conducted with experienced bicycle users. This step helped to identify user profiles to focus on in a targeted communication strategy.

Finally, an action plan was proposed detailing multiple ideas and advice on a visual identity to develop bicycle tourism in the area and attract new tourists.

This study confirmed the potential for bicycle tourism in the area and guided the Tourism Office and Orléans Métropole towards a coherent and transversal cycling offer.
