Project Summary

The Swiss capital has been on a roll lately, pursuing rather ambitious changes to its cycling policies, particularly with the launch of its Vélo-Offensive plan. Tapping into our tried-and-tested methodology for evaluating bicycle-friendly cities, Copenhagenize worked together with the City of Bern to evaluate its recent efforts in terms of cycling policy, infrastructure, and progress. For this project, we evaluated the success of the City’s recent efforts, benchmarking the state of cycling in Bern against other comparable European cities.
